BOX SEATS @ HOME
Challenge
The Pandemic has all but ended in-person performing arts and, as a result, the main source of revenue for millions of artists. Though, online platforms have seen some success, they have been far from an adequate solution.
Brief
Develop a novel solution to aid the performing arts in expanding their reach during the COVID-19 isolation.
Insight
A virtual experience offers an opportunity for an audience to have unrestricted access that would otherwise be unavailable as part of a live performance.
Strategy
Connect with the audience in a deeper, more meaningful way by crafting an immersive and interactive theater-going experience.
Execution
Box Seats at Home is an at-home viewing system marketed toward patrons of the arts, featuring a short-throw projector, surround sound speakers, and a front-facing HD camera. This portable system will allow spectators to view live Broadway performances and concerts from any theater regardless of location. With Roku integration, the system also offers streaming functionality for everyday viewing.
Box Seats at Home presents the opportunity to market “Season Ticket Holder” monthly subscriptions granting members access to early purchase opportunities and ticket discounts, VIP live chats with cast and crew, viewing of live recording sessions of popular shows and podcast, and live dance sessions where choreographers can teach and interact with participants. These memberships enhance the user experience, while generating additional revenue for the performing arts.
Partners include:
PBS for recording and broadcasting Broadway shows
LG for short-throw projectors
Sonos for surround sound speakers
Roku for casting capabilities
Zoom for live VIP sessions
Logitech for front-facing HD cameras
